Ordnance Survey (OS) make a number of datasets available free of charge under the terms of the current Open Government Licence (OGL). You are able to use the OS OpenData™ datasets in any way and for any purpose. OS simply ask that you acknowledge the copyright and the source of the data by including an attribution statement:
Contains Ordnance Survey data © Crown copyright [and database right] yyyy
Where you use Code-Point Open® data you must add the following attribution statements:
Contains Royal Mail data © Crown copyright and database right yyyy
Contains National Statistics data © Crown copyright and database right yyyy
If space allows it would be best practice to also include:
You must not delete this acknowledgement. You are free to copy and distribute this map.

In each example please substitute the current year in place of ‘yyyy’
If you are displaying both OS OpenData™ AND OS Licensed Data then you should just use the appropriate OS Licensed Data attribution statement, there is no need to display the OS OpenData™ attribution statement as well.
OpenData™ products include:
Some of these products may be withdrawn at short notice as new products are released, and specifications may change. Careful consideration should be given before any business critical solutions are based on OS OpenData™ products. Not all OS OpenData™ products are currently available to HCC GIS users, and a business case may be required before additional products are published. Please contact the GIS team if you would like to use further OS OpenData™.
